One day a robot switches to another frequency. Leaving it confused, frustrated and feeling alone. It becomes desperate for contact but fails to find it. It ventures out into the unknown in search of someone who will understand its words.
I made this animation in just 2 weeks. The visual design, dynamic design and audio design were all done by myself.
Above are some sketches I made. I wanted this robot to look lonely and sad, so experimented with body language. Instead of relying on the face to show emotion. I did this specifically to challenge myself.
This is an illustration I made to test out the final style and mood of the animation.
